Specific questions for original SEC parameter-generation records
Draft research questions only; not sent to anyone.

1. Do the intermediate x values below occur as literals, seeds, or logged
outputs in the generation program for sect131r1/r2 and sect193r1/r2?

   In current SEC2 v1, the 131-bit pair's smaller-x doubling preimages use
the first value and that value+2; both 193-bit curves use the second.
Five of these six 113/131/193-bit selected preimages are outside the
odd-order subgroup, so subgroup-only halving does not expose them all.

2. Were these starting coordinates typed as fixed hexadecimal integers,
derived from a named seed or hash, or generated by a particular program?
If generated, which software version, integer encoding, and initial
state or seed were used? Was the same x reused for each r1/r2 pair?

3. Did the program increment x until a point existed and then clear the
cofactor? How did it choose the y root or normalize the final sign?
Both smaller-integer-y and an unadjusted half-trace rule fit the six
selected points, so arithmetic alone does not distinguish those rules.

4. Is there a documented link between the SEC131 starting literal and
   Certicom ECC2-131's challenge U.x?

   Challenge seed: b55555555554d696e67687561517586aa17bf3f4
   Challenge U.x: 1db221deb61dc208ada4d88885a787969

The known seed reproduces the challenge number. The SEC value is not
obtained merely by a field isomorphism or a normal-basis interpretation
of the same bits; their trace invariants differ. Any link would require
an additional operation or editing step that is not currently known.

5. Are complete GEC1 v0.4/v0.5, SEC2 v0.6, or the August-October1999
secg-talk archive available? Numeric pages would let us establish
whether the generator values changed between drafts.

The GEC1 draft's listed contacts are documentary leads, not proof of
who selected individual parameters. A response identifying original
generation files or contemporaneous notes would be stronger than a
retrospective guess. No unpublished facts are assumed in these questions.
