Fifth archival pass: verified earlier control and additional original draft
=======================================================================

The unknown generator recipe remains unresolved. This pass recovered three complete
primary historical documents from public archives/mirrors, without outreach.

1. Earlier complete evidence for sect113r1 (control curve)
------------------------------------------------------
WTLS, Version 11-Feb-1999, printed page80, assigned curve4, has exactly the
degree, reduction polynomial, a,b, seedS, G, n and cofactor of SEC sect113r1.
The source uses assignednumber4, not the later SEC name. This is full numeric
equivalence, not a name match. Source-validation.json replays the parameter check
and public arithmetic: on-curve, nG=infinity, both halves double toG, and the
smaller-x half has x=3, matching our existing control.

Local wtls1999-mirror.pdf, extracted .txt, and page80 text/render.
Official document identity is corroborated by the publisher's WAP1.1 index:
https://www.wapforum.org/what/technical_1_1.htm
That index's obsolete www1.wapforum.org links returned401; a separately indexed
public C3 mirror supplied the PDF. The official OMA ZIP returned403 and was not
bypassed. Those retrieval failures are recorded.

This advances chronology for the sect113r1 control only. It does not date the
131/193 shared starts or the four prime k1 generators to February1999. There is
no claim of first discovery or original invention date.

2. WTLS predecessor recovered, with narrower table
-------------------------------------------------
WTLS, Version30-Apr-1998, contains only assigned curves1,2,3 in Table8, printed
pages78-79. The sect113r1-equivalent curve4 is absent from that table. Thus it was
added to this document series by February1999; absence from the earlier standard
does not establish when the curve itself was created.

3. GEC2 v0.3 test-vector draft recovered in full
---------------------------------------------
The prior archive inventory had a successful capture of GEC2 but its contents had
not been inspected. This pass downloaded that exact public capture, not a guessed
timestamp. Cover says September1999, Version0.3, from Certicom Research, with
contacts Simon Blake-Wilson, Hugh MacDonald, and Minghua Qu. Contact names do not
establish who generated a particular curve or point.

SHA256 9108321536eb6becee88da35cc4905aa02d8f182f43f4dd79e598fcd3d10923d
Local gec2-v03.pdf (83pages), fulltext, decoded text, per-page text, rendered cover.

It gives worked ECDSA/ECAES/ECDH/ECMQV examples using secp160r1 and sect163k1,
with example key/ephemeral integers said to be randomly or pseudorandomly chosen.
It cites GEC1, September1999, in its reference[2], printedp78. It does not give an
earlier GEC1 version or explain the target generator starting constants. In
particular the example key-generation primitive is not a generator-generation
recipe.

For a source-grounded future comparison, gec2-public-constants.json records53
distinct decimal constants with30or more digits, each with PDF page/context. They
are public illustrative test vectors, not operational secrets. A literal search
for the131start,193start,160k1half x, and shared152-bit core in the decoded hex
text or these decimal integers found no match. No additional hash search was run.
This finite literal check says nothing about transformations or unknown inputs.

4. Fourth-pass audit status
--------------------------
Reviewed work/secp-fourth-archive/FINDINGS.txt and historical-parameter-checks.json.
The earlier date is September1999 (month only) for cached GEC1v0.5, and October1999
(month only) for the full SEC2v0.6 PDF. The PDF metadata date19991024 does not prove
an exact publication day. Match coverage is all10target curves in EACH document:
six binary curves plus four prime k1 curves,20records total. All field values,
generator encodings, seeds where present, and public arithmetic checks pass in
that receipt. This pass rechecked coverage, booleans and originalPDF hash; the
independent numerical audit is being performed by root using Poppler extraction.
The GEC1 evidence remains indexed excerpts from one exact document URL. The full
SEC0.6PDF, captured2024, is stronger preserved-document evidence, but neither is a
generation record. No correction to the fourth-pass date or coverage was needed.

Search accounting
-----------------
sources_reviewed:50 (skill convention: requested Exa results across5 calls,
including irrelevant results, not50 unique documents). Supplemented by12 literal
web queries and direct source/index reads. Raw Exa/search/retrieval receipts are
saved in this folder. No GEC1v0.4 numeric pages were found. Prior exhaustive SECG
CDX inventories were read, not rerun. Only this folder was modified in this pass.
